A longtime classical violist, Amy has performed in numerous orchestras and chamber groups and has been un-invited from more than her share of Easter church gigs. She enjoys messing around with other instruments--primarily fiddle and guitar--and when the leaves turn brown, the shadows long, and the nights cool, she reflects fondly upon her brief career playing marimba and pounding on scrap metal in her high school marching band. Though not a trained vocalist, she has logged a lot of practice time singing in her car. In addition to the above, Amy admits to a vague memory of playing in "some bizarre ensemble in college" that performed minimalist music and its own unique arrangement of Jimi Hendrix's Are You Experienced? She has not explained this in detail, simply saying "I mostly just remember it being strange." The band has decided to, in the words of Mark Twain, "draw a curtain of charity over the rest of that scene" and just appreciate our very talented fiddler/violist, something that most Celto-Northumbrian folk bands can only dream of having!
